| This bottom fermented lager is modelled after the German style 'Münchener Dunkel'. Klosterbryg is with its dark and golden apearance, spicy odour og taste of roasted caramel and hops - the brew houses version of traditional 'godt-øl'. The name came because of our position between Graabrødre- and Helligaands Monastery/Convent. Both nuns and monks lived there back then, strictly seperated from one another. Tales tell a story of two who secretly met and were discovered. The monk lost his life and the nun was walled up the cellar. |
